Mourinho says Man Utd move is his “million dollar question”

He has been out of work since December, when he was sacked just seven months after winning the Premier League title for the third time as Chelsea manager.

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is uncertain whether he will become the next man in charge at Manchester United.

However, the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss insisted that he is no rush to take a new job as he is willing to wait until the end of the 2015/16 campaign for fresh challenges.

And speaking on Wednesday during a trip to Singapore, Mourinho confirmed that joining a new club in the summer is probably best for him.

He said: “I hope Mourinho comes back to the Premier League very soon, we need characters like that in the game”.

Jose Mourinho also hinted he will not take a new job until the start of next season and remained coy over his prospects of taking over at Manchester United. One day they say “yes” and another day they say “no”. One day they say yes and another day they say no.

Mourinho spoke before students at a suburban secondary school in Singapore in conjunction with a scholarship foundation set up by Valencia Football Club owner Peter Lim, who is from the city-state.

He is linked most with Manchester United, as Louis van Gaal continues to struggle to get the Red Devils firing again.

“(But) I miss football and, if I have to return tomorrow, I would.

“I’m travelling, I’m enjoying my friends, I’m enjoying my family, I’m enjoying my life. (But) that’s the way football is and, to me, Chelsea is no more, finished, and I look forward to the future with more enthusiasm, and not the past”.

“I go to Milan and people say I’m going back to Inter”.

“Its quite a amusing career because I am still the English champion and I have no job”, the 53-year-old said.
