Speaking ahead of the club’s Champions Cup clash with Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on Friday, Mourinho revealed that United’s shortlist has a number of names on it – not just one.

Jose Mourinho has said Manchester United are keeping their options open in the transfer market following reports they are set to sign Paul Pogba.

He originally left United for Juventus four years ago due to a lack of first-team opportunities, but his imminent return to the club will cap a busy start in the transfer market for new boss Jose Mourinho.

The 20-time English champions have been heavily linked with a move for the Juventus midfielder throughout the summer transfer window so far despite already completing three signings.

“We know the profile of the player we want and we have three faces that fit that profile”, said Mourinho.

“I really need for the balance of my squad a midfield player but we have more options”. The only thing I can say is that my board, my directors, did a fantastic job to do 75% of the job I asked them to do.

France worldwide Pogba departed Old Trafford to join Juve on a free transfer in 2012 and has since developed into one the world’s best players during his time in Turin, winning four straight Serie A titles with the club.

“They would have been saying, ‘How is it possible I play 200 games for this club, won this and that, yet a 19-year-old comes here and gets more money than I get?”

Pogba is wanted back at United four years after leaving Old Trafford for Juventus, where he has become one of Europe’s most in-demand midfielders. I think that’s what everybody wants at the club, it is what every fan around the world wants.

“I think it affects a lot”.

“I am going to have to say United”, Beckham said when asked who will win next season’s title.

“It is not possible to have the best conditions and the accumulation of these factors is really hard, especially for my boys”.
