Moussa Sissoko rejects Everton to join Tottenham – Twitter reacts
Sissoko played 37 times as Newcastle was relegated from the Premier League last season and he is yet to feature for Rafael Benitez’s side in the Championship this term.

Newcastle – who last night signed Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on a season-long loan – had dropped their £35million asking price. “I hope we will all do well together”.
Moussa Sissoko has “vowed to win over” sceptical Tottenham fans following his last-minute £30million move to the club on transfer deadline day.
Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make a late move for unsettled Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko after he was given permission to leave the France training camp, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.
Sissoko had earlier said of his move to Spurs: “I spoke with Hugo Lloris”.
“He is very powerful and I think he is a different profile of player for us, so he will give us another option offensively”.
“He’s a good friend for me”, Sissoko told the club’s official website.
Sissoko has been continually linked with a switch from St James’ Park since Newcastle’s relegation from the Premier League in May. However an hour later Sissoko’s preferred destination, Tottenham Hotspur swooped in and matched Everton’s bid, sealing the deal for the French global and give McCarthy a lifeline to resurrect his Toffee career. Where was he? The answer, apparently, was on his way to Tottenham.
But just where did Sissoko see himself this year? It was the flawless time for Sissoko to find a new club and get a better contract.

It is understood that Newcastle have now rejected this bid, and it isn’t known whether West Brom will follow up with a second offer for the French midfielder. Sissoko is a good player, but compared to those, he might have trouble competing for first team minutes.
