Movie boss Jeffrey Katzenberg thanks vehicle chief for saving his life
Katzenberg was hospitalized after the accident and underwent surgery on his arm and wrist, but he admits it could have been much worse. Chief Executive Elon Musk for “saving his life” following a vehicle accident that left Katzenberg with serious injuries.

Katzenberg was driving his Tesla on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills at 7:30 am after the light turned green when another auto cut across Sunset and crashed into the Hollywood mogul.
And although the cause of the crash is not known, Katzenberg was clear who to credit for his survival: the co-founder of the company that makes his electric sedan.
He added: ‘I shattered my arm and wrist and destroyed the auto. “It was a big surgery and not fun”. Tesla and DreamWorks Animation did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Katzenberg and his pink cast will take center stage (and likely be a conversation starter) when he receives the first-ever Sid Grauman Award presented by Hill Valley at Friday night’s American Cinematheque Awards at the Hyatt Regency in Century City.
Katzenberg’s comments come just a few days after Consumer Reports panned Tesla Model S for reliability issues. and pulled down its recommendation. “Already addressed in new cars”, Musk said in a tweet.

He also pointed out one thing Consumer Reports itself reported: Model S owners are very happy with the auto, despite the need to get them fixed more than average.
