Movie screened at DIFF 2015 claims top honours at the Golden Globes

Brie Larson was named best actress in a drama for The Room, while Jennifer Lawrence won best comedy actress for Joy. Successful movie composer, Ennio Morricone (“Inglorious Basterds”) took home a Globe for the score of “The Hateful Eight”, making his fans hopeful to soon see him win his first Oscar honoring a single movie.

“Mozart in the Jungle”, an Amazon series, won for best comedy television show.

Supporting Actor, Series, Limited Series or TV Movie: Christian Slater, “Mr. Robot”. “I want to thank my imaginary friend Rocky Balboa for being the best friend I ever had”, said Stallone, receiving the award.

Awards race dark horse “Steve Jobs” also got some love on Sunday with wins for Kate Winslet, for best supporting actress, and Aaron Sorkin, for the screenplay.

After failing to pick up a single award at the Golden Globes, this may no longer be the case.

The Best-Comedy-or-Musical award went to “The Martian”.
