Moyes wants Man United to stick with Van Gaal
Van Gaal, who has spent over a quarter of a billion pounds since taking over 18 months ago, has overseen seven goalless draws this term and his team are five points adrift of fourth place with half the season to go.

“In all fairness, since the David Moyes time, the Manchester United fans have been more than patient”.
“The crisis here is the environment and you [the media] are part of that”.
“I have said that when the players are fighting for me, I stay, because that is the most important thing and you have seen that (they are)”, the United manager said.
“I have full confidence in the board and in my players”.
Van Gaal continued that it was those around the Premier League that were fanning the belief that Manchester United was in crisis.
“Inside of the club the players are willing to fight for every metre, the manager is willing to fight, the members of staff are willing to fight and the board is very confident in the staff and the manager so it (the negativity) is not inside Manchester United”.
Van Gaal has come under increasing pressure after seeing his side fail to win in the last eight matches, with the Dutchman also recording a lower win percentage than Moyes.
“I am under contract so it’s not a question of staying, it is a question of fulfilling my contract”.
Blind said: “With Van Gaal I could achieve a lot”. We were the dominant team, we created chances, we shot on goal and only gave three chances away.
“No matter what, whether it is good or bad, this club is always in the spotlight, and we’ve rolled our sleeves up, worked hard on the training field and had to make sure that we regrouped, especially after that loss against Stoke, so against Chelsea we stood up and showed that we were the better team, albeit we didn’t get the win”.
“We had two penalty cases, one the foul on Mata, the other the handball of Willian”, Van Gaal said. “When it happens to Jose Mourinho, then it can happen with me”. The best of the chances to which Hiddink referred fell to midfielder Nemanja Matic who ran clean through but blazed his effort embarrassingly high over the bar when all he had to do was beat goalkeeper David De Gea in a one-on-one situation.
Guus Hiddink was happy to take a point back to Stamford Bridge.
