MQM Senators, MNAs, Sindh Assembly members’ tender resignations

Reiterating his stance as a patriot, Altaf Hussain said that his party would celebrate the occasion of independence (on August 14) with full zeal and zest. “His statements asking for the breakup of Sindh are also strongly condemned”.

He further added that MQM’s game is over now. The PML-N leadership is also in contact with PPP leadership, they added.

The house also carried legislation business by adopting the Sindh Board of Technical Education (Amended) Bill, 2014, which was aimed at changing its controlling authority from the Sindh governor to the chief minister. “Any attack on Sindh is like an attack on the entire country…” He said that he had been leading MQM for 37 years and it was normal for people to come and leave parties.

“MQM, the political party to which I belong, is being victimised in the garb of the targeted operation in Karachi for eliminating crimes and terrorism by the government of Sindh”, the resignation letter of every MP reads. The condemnation resolution against Zardari pointed that he had in his speech threatened the Pak Army of damages in reaction to action being initiated against his corruption.

“We have resigned from all three houses in protest against a series of injustices and repression against MQM’s workers and supporters in Karachi”, Dr. Farooq Sattar, the party’s parliamentary leader, told reporters outside parliament. In another condemnation resolution against PTI Chairman Imran Khan, it is stated that Imran Khan had also ridiculed and insulted the Pak Army but no institution ever initiated any enquiry against him nor took any action. He complained of the gross attitude of the treasury benches for not providing copies of the resolutions.

“MQM lawmakers should be brought back [in the assemblies] like PTI”, said Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
