‘Mr. Robot’ reboots for season two
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they all have the same sort of lighting. Mr. Robot knows exactly how to make each scene about a particular character.

So, who is Mr. Robot? It was dark and brooding, and looked risky. Well that’s easy random question in the middle of my column… Second, Mr. Robot is not about a robot man. Disappointing.
“We are incredibly proud of this series, and pleased that the Television Academy has honored the creative vision of Sam Esmail, Rami’s UNRIVALED lead actor performance, and Christian, Portia, Carly and the entire stellar cast and crew of MR.ROBOT”, said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. While she meant to get inside “Evil Corp” to take it down from within, it is clear that her motives have taken a complete 360. The show is vastly more interesting when it shows the dystopian consequences of Elliot’s actions than when it tries to litigate what, precisely, is happening between his ears. There were real themes to be tackled here. Like some hackers, this group wants social change not profit, and so they have the $6 million they demanded in order for E Corp to regain control of their computers burned in Battery Park.
Unfortunately, without Elliot’s knowledge, Mr. Robot has been talking to Ray.
By the end of the first season I was exhausted and in no way is that a negative. While there, he begins talking with a man who brings up the whole hacking situation.
He’s the man. I love him. When there are deeper levels. In addition to being a riveting story, Mr. Robot is also right up there with Breaking Bad (and Better Call Saul) for the best cinematography and technical feats. Naturally fans expect season two to start with Elliot trying to figure out what happened and where this dude is. I’ve seen a number of shows collapse under that weight (*ahem* Heroes *ahem*) and in some ways that makes me nervous.
Season One ended with F Society pulling off the greatest hack the world had ever seen. Elliot then reached into a popcorn machine where a gun was hidden, and… we don’t know what happened next. Though their hack severely disabled Evil Corp and crashed the financial markets, the government is getting ready to bail the conglomerate out. “I absolutely felt like I was there and a participant in the whole thing”. Actually, I dare say this premiere is one of the most intense and nail-biting set of episodes in the series. Is what he’s presenting us the truth?
Elliot’s delusions in season 2 are stronger than the previous season. He knows who hacked them, the CEO claims. I sure hope so. With a 90-minute opening episode, one would assume that Esmail would get some of the set-up out of the way, but the show moves along, setting up the pieces with lengthy, college-thesis paper monologues. After giving birth, she calmly instructs Tyrell to fix his situation or there won’t be any place for him in their family. There’s even a terrifying sequence where the horror of the “internet of things” comes to its natural conclusion. Your investment in this mystery assumes that you care about Tyrell at all and don’t just see him a delivery vehicle for his much interesting and terrifying wife, as I do. Looking back on it, not only was this show different because of what it was saying, but the look is very unusual, cool and fun.

I thought that it read very poetically and it was profound.
