Sam Bradford isn’t far enough along in the concussion protocol to practice.

“Hasn’t been able to do anything because he hasn’t cleared the concussion protocol”, said Kelly.

While Kelly wouldn’t reveal what stage Bradford was in, the head coach did say Bradford was in team meetings, meaning he has started to progress closer to playing.

Backup quarterback Mark Sanchez replaced Bradford, while the Eagles leaned more heavily on running backs DeMarco Murray and Darren Sproles with Mathews sidelined.

“When he’s cleared, we’ll address that”, Kelly said. Because he may not be cleared at all or he could be cleared this afternoon. Like Bradford, he hasn’t completed the protocol or been cleared. The Eagles announced after the game that Bradford also had been diagnosed with a concussion.

Bradford was appearing in his ninth regular-season game after missing all of 2014 and half of 2013 with two tears of his left ACL.

Kelly acknowledged that Peters worked out before the game Sunday, but wasn’t able to go.

“[Running back] Ryan Mathews same thing and [guard] Josh Andrew is the same thing”, Kelly said.

Kelly was asked if Peters suffered a setback: “Good question”, he said. “I just know he can’t go today”.

Safety Walter Thurmond is back at practice on Wednesday, while linebacker Connor Barwin is limited due to a quad injury, according to Kelly. “He’s been impressive in the last couple of games”. Kelly said Bradford can’t even test his injured left shoulder because he’s not allowed to do any physical exercises.
