A number of domestic and global flights to and from Bali were canceled on Monday following the eruption of Mount Rinjani in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
A Tigerair flight from Perth has been cancelled while two Virgin Australia flights already on their way to Bali have been turned around.
Virgin, meanwhile, has cancelled all flights in and out of Bali as a result of the cloud.
Jetstar flight JQ116, to Singapore via Denpasar was scheduled to leave Perth Airport at 5:50pm, with the Airport’s website, still showing a “boarding” message at 5:25pm.
The airline has cancelled a flight from Lombok to Kuala Lumpar due to a volcanic eruption at Mt Rinjani.
She said Tigerair was trying to place all affected customers in Darwin in hotels.
Monday’s eruption is the third time the volcano has disrupted travel to Indonesia since November.

The spokeswoman said the airline would resume normal operations to Bali from Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as soon as it was safe, and would provide an update early Tuesday morning.
