Mugshot Released , Dad Charged In Child Hot Car Deaths
Paramedics rushed the children to the hospital where they were pronounced dead on site. The deaths of the twins in Georgia, if they’re confirmed to be heat-related, would put that number at 26, the group said. The report said that North had been consuming alcohol that day, but he did not appear to be under the influence when police arrived on the scene.

Carrollton police told CNN that 15-month-old twin daughters Ariel Roxanne North and Alaynah Maryanne North were found unresponsive after neighbors called 911 on Thursday evening after hearing screaming and yelling. “But you know we believe he was there somewhere”, Dobbs said. He has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of reckless conduct, the Canadian Press (CP) reports. Police say North had been drinking, but it’s not yet known if alcohol was a factor in the girls’ death.
At the time of the twin’s deaths, the girl’s mother had gone to Atlanta to visit her sister, who’d been injured in a vehicle accident. Police then set up an online profile on the website, and within two days Silverthorne made contact online with the detective who set up the profile, Hardin said.
Autopsies were performed Friday morning on the two 15-month-old twins, but investigators said it could be weeks before they will have results. “He should have took care of them kids better than that, what he did”.
Fennell’s organization urges parents and caretakers to read its safety tips that include looking in the backseat each time you get out of the vehicle and putting something you need in your backseat – your cell phone, handbag, employee ID or briefcase – to ensure that you will check.
By Thursday night, officers were still speaking with the father about what happened, Dobbs said.
The front of the building is covered with several TV satellite dishes, and police tape was still in place behind the duplexes Friday morning as some residents left for work and a nurse returned home from an overnight shift.
The twins’ deaths occurred as prosecutors in another Atlanta county prepare for the murder trial of Justin Ross Harris, a 35-year-old man accused of leaving his toddler son to die in a hot SUV on June 18, 2014.

Harris’ trial was moved to Brunswick after a judge agreed with defense lawyers that an impartial jury could not be found in the Atlanta area. The trial is expected to begin in September.
