Muhammad Ali hits out at Trump over Muslim ban

It’s unclear what exactly would qualify as breaking that pledge by Trump’s calculation, but he said that he needs a level playing-field.

The White House had said Mr Trump was “disqualified” from running after he said the USA should ban Muslims from entering the country.

Among those reaching out to thank him, the Republican front-runner said, was “one of the most important people in Middle East” — Trump didn’t reveal the name — who called on Wednesday to say, “Donald, you’re doing a great service”.

“You know, he said, ‘We have a meeting, ‘ and he looks forward to the meeting and all of that”.

“We have a President that made a fool out of himself the other night”, Trump said, referring to Obama’s Sunday night address to the nation from the Oval Office.

The latest world leader to reject his remarks was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said Israel “respects all religions”, hours after Mr Trump announced he will be visiting the country this month. The New York Times reports Egypt’s highest religious authority slammed Trump as an “extremist”.

“Donald Trump seems to be recruiting a large group with the views that are against basic American values”, the comedienne said.

“We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that the police are afraid for their own lives”, he claimed.

Any petition that gets more than 100,000 signatures is considered by Parliament’s Petitions Committee, which weighs whether to send the petition for debate by lawmakers in Parliament.

“I do believe this event in particular will be a defining moment for Trump and his campaign, seeing the Republican party really coming out heavily against him and his statements in particular”, Dennehy said.

His proposal followed last week’s deadly shootings in San Bernardino, California, last week by a married couple inspired by Islamic State militants.

London Mayor Boris Johnson dismissed Trump’s comments as “complete and utter nonsense” while a spokesman for Prime Minister David Cameron called the remarks “divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong”.

Fiorina concluded, “And we also need to ask every single candidate, including Donald Trump, what is your plan for defeating ISIS, because I don’t think he has one”.

Rep. Branagan says she is drafting a letter to Trump stating her strong opposition to his comments.

According to a statement to CNN, the developer DAMAC is building the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai and has no plans of stopping.
