Mulcair promises $30M boost for tourism
The Harper Conservatives are trying to further cover what has been a very politically sensitive spot for them, benefits for veterans.

The Conservative leader is stressing the latter at a stop in Fredericton, N.B., where he is promising to add 6,000 people to bolster the reserve ranks of the Canadian Forces reserves.
Mulcair says an NDP government would invest $30 million over three years in Destination Canada, a Crown corporation responsible for promoting Canada as a four-season tourist destination.
“What’s important for Canadians looking forward is going to be the two issues of this campaign; the economy of our country and our future prospects in the security of our country“, Harper said.
In an interview on CBC Sudbury’s Morning North radio program, Trudeau pledged that his party would move toward equalized spending between public school boards and those run by Canada’s Indigineous people.
But if Harper didn’t want to discuss the Duffy details, his campaign rivals were more than happy to fill the void.
Their plan has failed and they have no new ideas. Could Mulcair be fearful of weaknesses in NDP policies that a debate among moderates might reveal, which would be masked by the overwhelming presence of Harper on the stage?
Campaigning in Ajax earlier Monday, Trudeau expressed no concern that he might be drawn into some of Wynne’s more controversial governance issues such as the sale of Hydro One shares and the ongoing OPP investigation into the Sudbury byelection job bribery allegations.
Trudeau said a Liberal government would raise taxes on the richest Canadians while cutting taxes for those making between $44,000 and $89,000.
“I think Canadians deserve better“.
This will not only boost economic growth, he said, but will also meet environmental challenges. “You’re using child labour to try to get across a message”, says marketing consultant Tony Chapman.

He says Harper is giving money to the wealthy while neglecting the middle class and that has to change.
