Fox unveiled the latest bit of new The X-Files footage during Thursday’s Wayward Pines finale. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time.
To maintain the hype, Fox started conducting an event on July 7th they’re calling “201 Days”.
The X-Files revival premiering in January 2016 is taking teasers to a painful extreme.
Hey sure, why not?
In the 17-second clip called “Ready” we also get a glimpse of what looks like a crashed plane engine, and a flashlight-armed military-looking squad skulking through the ever-present fog.
“I don’t know if there’s a choice”, answers Scully.
In addition to the return of originals stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner) and William B.

Not only will the Lone Gunmen be back, but Anderson and Duchovny will also be joined by Lauren Ambrose, Robbie Amell, Joel McHale, Kumail Nanjiani, Rhys Darby, and Annet Mahendru. Davis will somehow be back as The Smoking Man.
