Commuters on the mainline can switch from Kurla on to the Harbour to make their way to CST but CR officials have said that people should travel only if required. There will no block on the harbour line. The bridge is almost 136 years old.

Eastern Express Highway, Indian Oil Nagar, Eastern Freeway, Ashoknagar, WT Patil Marg, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk and again via Eastern Freeway to CST.
The last local leaving from CST will be for Kasara at 12.10 AM on January 10 and last local for Karjat will leave CST at 12.30 AM.
Meanwhile, BEST buses from CST to Byculla will be started for citizens. However, this would mean the cancellation of 150 local train services, 42 long distance trains and short termination of around 20 long distance trains either at Dadar or Kurla.
First slow local will leave CST at 18.38 hrs for Titwala after the block.
Last local arriving CST before commencement of block will be from Asangaon arrive CST at 00.18 hrs. It will run upto Byculla only.
First local arriving CST will be Khopoli local arrive CST at 18.47 hrs.
To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling & overhead equipments, a major block will be undertaken between Goregaon and Borivali stations from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs on Sunday i.e.10th January, 2016 on UP & DOWN Through (i.e. Fast) lines.
