The Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was also present on the occasion.
Members from the both sides of the House spoke on the occasion and congratulated to Syed Murad Ali Shah on his election as leader of the House.
The chief minister has directed all the cabinet members to keep him informed about their activities and issues in the group.
On Thursday, Murad Ali Shah, Sher Zaman and two other PPP candidates Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro and Jam Mehtab Dahar submitted their nomination papers in Sindh Assembly Secretariat.
Sources said that the declining law-and-order situation in the province and the growing influence of the Rangers were among the reasons for the central PPP leadership to remove Qaim Ali Shah. “The party co-chairman only gives the policy”, he stated.
Murad Ali Shah said that the issue of Rangers’ extension of stay in Sindh and their powers had been hyped up by the media. He had led the party to victory in 2013, and became chief minister again.
Previously, the Home Ministry was headed by Suhail Anwar Siyal, who had to leave his post when Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah resigned as the Chief Minister of Sindh last Wednesday.

He became chief minister for the second time in 2008 when the PPP swept back to power in the general and provincial elections held in the aftermath of Benzir Bhutto’s assassination.
