Murder probe launched after woman and two children found dead in house
Geraldine Newman, 51, was found dead with her son and daughter by a concerned friend.

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman and her two children were found dead in a house.
The tragic children of Geraldine Newman had been stabbed to death, investigators also revealed, as the first pictures of the trio were releabes.
West Yorkshire Police were later notified of the discovery of a man’s body in Wales, which they said could be linked to their inquiries.
Police attended around 11:50am and three people were found dead inside the property in Beeston Way.
Head teachers at St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School in Featherstone and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Castleford, described both children as “caring students” who would be missed by the whole community.
They were in contact with North Wales Police, who were working to formally identify the body.
He added: “We appreciate that the shocking nature of this incident has impacted on the wider community and local officers will continue to provide suitable reassurance”.
The Yorkshire Post reported that neighbours were in tears when they heard the news. “Shannon was very popular among her peers and will be greatly missed by all members of our community”.
Emergency services were called to an address just before noon today after concerns were raised for the occupants. “Prayers have been said in assembly and in local churches”.
Ms Newman is said to have been a branch manager for retailer Wilko, where she had worked for 23 years.
“I’ve known him for the past year what with going to school with my daughter – he takes them and picks them up, I’ve never met Geraldine”.
Mrs Newman described the children as “the light of my life” on her LinkedIn profile.
She added: “They were really bubbly and nice and kind”.
“Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences are with her family, friends and colleagues at this very hard time and everything is being done to support those Team Members who are affected by this tragic news”.
One woman said: “We are just really shocked and sad”.

A couple and two children are said to have lived at the house for about five years. “Last week I was stood talking to him at school and now this has happened – it’s heartbreaking”, he said.
