Murray, coach Mauresmo part ways
“It’s the case of it takes a lot of time to do the job well and properly”.

I think Andy has listened closely to what Amelie has said, and I think he has taken on board the best she can offer. We will all miss having her around.
“By starting closer to the baseline, Andy is able to get to net a lot quicker and play his first volley from inside the service line, and he’s a damn good volleyer”.
“I think it did work”, he told a press conference in Rome.
And she was in Madrid last week in her role as Fed Cup captain last week without working with the Scot.
However, many noticed that Mauresmo was not seated with Murray’s team in Miami, where he lost-as he had in Indian Wells-in his second match. To have that consistency throughout the whole of the year is very important.
Andy Murray split with coach Amelie Mauresmo on Monday, ending a groundbreaking two-year relationship during which the British star improved as a clay-court player but failed to add to his collection of Grand Slam titles.
“It did work”, he said. So after Wimbledon it was going to happen and then after the US Open.
Nevertheless there was no sign of rancour between Murray and Mauresmo who have always got on extremely well when the announcement was made on Monday afternoon.
Just two weeks before the second Grand Slam of the year begins at Roland Garros, Murray and Mauresmo’s working relationship came to an amicable end, with their two years together demonstrating to tennis’ reactionaries how it is perfectly possible for a woman to coach a man at the highest level of the game.
He added: “I’d like to thank her for everything she has done”.
“It was kind of back and forth from there and unfortunately, I couldn’t quite break, which was a shame because both of us on the break points until that last game were pretty clinical, Murray added, For the first couple of the break points, I remember making few mistakes”.
Speaking ahead of the Italian Open in Rome, Murray told a news conference: “Roger [Federer] stopped working with Stefan Edberg at the end of past year because Edberg wanted to spend more time with his family, didn’t want to spend as much time travelling”. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the great team of people he has around him”. “We only spent 10 days together in 21/2 months”. The only usual clay event that the Brit ever went deep in was the French Open, with his best performance pre-Mauresmo being a semi final in 2011.
After Wimbledon the schedule remains just as busy.

The partnership between the two Wimbledon champions seemed a surprise alliance when it was announced after the 2014 French Open. He has known the 39-year-old for many years and was clearly impressed by the work Delgado did last year when he coached Gilles Muller. Not forgetting the huge historic victory in bringing the Davis Cup back to Britian. Matt Little, Murray’s fitness trainer, and Shane Annun, one of his physios, are also here. Meanwhile, Murray, who made only the third round in 2015, has to defend just 90 points.
