Musician David Bowie Has Died, Aged 69

A U.S. source said: “In many respects you don’t need a memorial or service to remember David by”.

One of David Bowie’s closest friends has revealed the star died of liver cancer, and that only a few people knew the star was terminally ill. But behind the podium he collapsed from exhaustion.

“David was always an inspiration to me and a true original”, Jagger said.

Bowie was a three-time BRITs victor, being named Best British Male twice, 30 years apart – in 1984 and 2014- and being awarded the Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 1996. That became obvious to me time and time again during our collaboration.

Meanwhile, friends of the singer are continuing to express their grief, with Sir Elton John sharing a picture of a young Bowie on his Instagram page, with the caption: “I am still in shock. I have an unbelievable amount of admiration for how he really scraped together his strengths in order to still achieve this”.

“It was very unusual”, van Hove said of trying to convey Bowie, who co-wrote the theatrical piece, and his intentions.

“I received an email from him seven days ago. His death is a huge loss”.

Bowie’s ethereal final album, Blackstar, and his final release from it, “Lazarus”, is now being evaluated in light of his illness and passing, leading many to consider it as a “parting gift” to the world.

Lyrics in the haunting song include: “Look up here, I’m in heaven”. It ends with the poignant. “I just love everything about him, it was my dream to meet him”.

She was also step-mother to Duncan Jones, Bowie’s son with former wife Angie Barnett.

Why? Because she’s part of the ongoing season of reality TV show, Celebrity Big Brother (UK), and was inside the house when Bowie passed away.
