Muslim Congressman Receives Death Threat He Blames On Trump’s ‘Demagoguery’

Carson, a Republican opponent of Trump for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead” that he opposes Trump’s proposal in the wake of terror attacks.

“We’re going to need a very strong president” after the next election because things will be worse in 2017 and the USA “needs someone who doesn’t mind being a one-term president”, Carson said. You know, when you talk about prejudice, prejudice is usually born out of fear and ignorance.

“We’re putting people, i.e. Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, and others, into the line of fire, exposing them to death threats, discrimination in the workplace, and assaults”, Carson said.

Still, he said, the United States must look at what kind of people are entering the country.

“It’s got an appealing human element to it which is the hallmark of Dr. Carson”, said Watts.

“It’s always a concern when someone goes through the effort of announcing that they want to do you bodily harm”, she said. “How much wrong we do to God and his grace when we speak of sins being punished by his judgment before we speak of their being forgiven by his mercy”, Francis said, reinforcing a major theme of his papacy.

He said the United States should work more closely with Muslim religious leaders in seeking help identifying radicals.
