Muslim Man Stoned to Death for Allegedly Eating Beef in Uttar Pradesh
The shocking incident of a fifty year old man being savagely beaten to death by a mob for allegedly eating beef in UP’s Dadri has once again turned the spotlight to “progressive”, “shining”, “digital” India. The 50-year-old reportedly died before he could be taken to a hospital while Danish remains in a critical condition.

The police have sent meat found in the house for forensic testing. The family has maintained that the meat saved in their fridge was mutton and never beef.
On September 24, a burglary case was registered at police station Nowabad after which a police team was constituted to nab the culprits, a police officer said.
According to reports, Mohammed Akhlaq, a farm worker, and his son were attacked by a furious mob of nearly 100 on allegations of storing and consuming beef in their house. The ban has also provoked outrage with many questioning how the government decides what is on their plate.

The following day, as the news of the incident spread like a fire in the country, people protested slamming this brutality.

Eleven states – including Uttar Pradesh – and two union territories (federally-administered regions) in India ban slaughter of cows, calves, bulls and bullocks.
