Muslim women beaten over beef rumour in India
Activists of a Hindu radical group roughed up two Muslim women in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday for allegedly carrying beef.

The police tried to stop the crowd, but were outnumbered. The incident had caused violent protests all across the state, leading to the death of at least one protester and one police man.
The Muslim women have been taken into police custody, but those who attacked them are still at large.
They were cornered by a crowd that is heard screaming “Gau Mata Ki Jai (Hail holy cow)” and were thrashed for almost half an hour before the police led them away.
According to an NDTV report, the police received information that the women were allegedly bringing the beef from Jaora to sell it in Mandsaur and reached the Mandsaur railway station to apprehend them.
A video aired by a television channel showed two women slapping and punching the Muslim women in the presence of a police officer.
30 kg of meat has been recovered from the women which was later examined by a local doctor revealed it to be a BUFFALO meat NOT BEEF..
State home minister Bhupendra Singh on Wednesday said: “No can take law in their own hands”.

The shocking incident comes just two weeks after the controversy surrounding the flogging of a Dalit family by gau rakshaks for skinning a dead cow in Una, Gujarat.
