Muslims celebrate Eid, marking Ramadan’s end
The entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr, the proclamation read.

Security has been beefed up in various parts of the country as Muslims conduct Eid-al-Fitr prayers to mark the end of Ramadhan.
The holiday lasts one to three days, and is eagerly anticipated after the month of fasting.
“This year’s celebration is indeed timely and relevant as the Filipino nation starts a fresh move towards peace, stability, development and progress under a news leadership”, Mr. Duterte said.
The first Eid al-Fitr was celebrated in 624 CE by the Prophet Muhammad and his companions after the victory of the battle of Jang-e-Badar.
How do Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr?
