In the wake of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in Brussels, Sen. “We have over 90% of Muslims saying if there is any Muslim within their own community, maybe committing an attack, they would report them”.

“Our prayers are out to the people who are victims of this act”, said Mohammed on the Brussels’ attack.

“Ordering special patrols of Muslim neighborhoods will nearly certainly create an adversarial relationship between law enforcement and the communities they have sworn to protect, making those communities more vulnerable, more frightened, and often less willing to help”, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said in a prepared statement.

This is the second time in this election season that the ADL has denounced a major presidential candidate for anti-Muslim remarks. “Islam is a religion of peace, and as you know, 1.6 billion people are practicing Islam peacefully, and that’s what Islam is all about”, Tariq Rasheed, president of the Islamic Center of Orlando, said.

Cruz’s comments prompted Muslims across America to take to Twitter under the hastag #MyMuslimNeighborhood.

“As far as the notion of having surveillance of neighborhoods where Muslims are present, I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance”, Obama said, “which by the way, the father of Sen. I didn’t go to a pollster I just said what was on my mind and I said there is a serious serious problem here”. “We can’t waterboard and they can chop off heads”.

The program was later disbanded amid complaints of religious and racial profiling. “Or president Obama should be planning to travel to Brussels”, Cruz said Tuesday at a news conference on Capitol Hill.
