My mother, my hero, our next Prez – Hillary: Chelsea
“This is the story of my mother, Hillary Clinton”, Chelsea said as she introduced her mother. But tonight, nothing will compare to the sky-high expectations and rare pressure she expects to experience when she officially accepts the Democratic nomination for president.

She may have kept away from political limelight for most parts but on Thursday night (local time) in Philadelphia, Chelsea Clinton urged supporters to vote for mother Hillary as the next US President. Chelsea also discussed the way her parents raised her, saying she never anxious about anything. She spoke of how her mother had always been there for her and said “that feeling-being valued and loved-that’s something my mom wants for every child”. She vowed to voters that she would be there for them as well.
On Thursday night, she’ll help her mother take the steps to try to become that first female president – and break what the candidate has called the “highest and hardest” glass ceiling.
“This November, I am voting for a woman who is my role model as a mother and as an advocate”.
She mentioned subjects her parents care about, including education and healthcare. “Every piano and dance recital”, Clinton said. But fortunately for her, Hillary Clinton is far less dependent on the next generation than Donald Trump.
As always, her appearances have always been carefully managed.
Nowadays, she said, her mother will put down everything – even before a debate or a speech – to FaceTime with her 2-year-old granddaughter, Charlotte.
First, she worked for the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. for three years and went to Wall Street for another three years to work for a hedge fund. “It is the calling of her life”, Chelsea Clinton said.
“I saw it up close. She makes me proud every single day”.
On Wednesday, she was the star guest for the Human Rights Campaign’s lunch to honour LGBT elected officials.
Clinton calmly ripped into the Republican National Convention, saying she found most offensive the party’s “open embrace of conversion therapy” – a controversial treatment programme meant to change a person’s sexuality.

This week, Chelsea Clinton – for the first time – shot back on that claim, challenging her to defend her father’s positions. When polling showed as much, a People magazine cover featuring the trio quickly appeared. Her youngest is only four months old and she often posts pictures of her kids on social media while working on multi-million-dollar real estate deals. Since he first announced his bid for president with her beside him, Ivanka has played the most visible role among his children. She loves Elmo, she loves blueberries and above all, she loves Facetiming with Grandma.
