A group of Teddy Bridgewater’s teammates showed up at the hospital Tuesday night to cheer him up, but he turned the tables and did the encouraging.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer ended practice after Bridgewater went down.

It is certainly unfortunate timing for such an injury, but the nature under which he suffered it (the non-contact variety) says that it was potentially just a matter of time. Hill is 36 and playing in his 15th season, and he started nine games with the St. Louis Rams in 2014. He isn’t expected to play in the team’s final preseason game on Thursday against San Francisco, but he said he’s capable of playing in the opener on September 11 at Kansas City.

2016 – I actually said to my wife just a couple days ago, “Maybe this is their year, they’ll actually be pretty good this year”.

As more information comes out about the horrifying injury suffered by Teddy Bridgewater, the picture of what happened grows bleaker. “It’s more about our feelings for Teddy and for him as a person and getting better than it is about anything else”. This is the kind of injury that makes players go away for 12 months, maybe more.

“We’re not going to stick our heads in the sand”. “By that I mean, people are asking for some insane things, people think that you”™re desperate, and we”™re not going to do something that “” in my estimation and talking with Coach Zim and our ownership “” it puts us in a situation where we jeopardize the future of this franchise.”. “He’s done a phenomenal job”.

The team had hoped Bridgewater was prepared to take a major step forward in his third year in the NFL. He went 12 for 16 for 161 yards and a touchdown in two quarters of work, leaving Vikings players and fans fully confident as the team starts to prepare for the season opener at Tennessee on September 11.

Bridgewater missed the second preseason game with a sore shoulder, but was very sharp Sunday against San Diego. “We’re going to figure out a way”, Zimmer said. But this is about the team. “I know Shaun”™s an older guy, I know that we have the utmost of confidence in him.

I forgot to add in my column last week concerning Mark White’s record-tying 99-yard touchdown run in 1974 that my Greenway team did win that game by the score of 18-8 against International Falls.
