Myles Garrett, Mitchell Trubisky set to make National Football League debuts in Week 5

The highly anticipated debut of Myles Garrett, the Browns’ 2017 No. 1 draft pick, will happen Sunday against the Jets and it could give 0-4 Cleveland a glimmer of hope. In Cleveland, it means “Help has arrived”.

With the Jets leading, 10-7, early in the fourth quarter and the Browns facing fourth-and-2 at the NY 4, Coach Hue Jackson elected to go for it. Garrett has not played in any of the Browns’ first four games after spraining his ankle in practice September 6 before the opener.

“I always want more”, Garrett said. A loss to the Jets would drop Cleveland to 0-5 on the season and 1-23 in their past 24 games, which would be enough to make any animal sad.

“But it’s just about maintaining your focus”, said Garrett, whose parents will travel from their home in Arlington, Texas, to attend the game at FirstEnergy Stadium.

This is partly due to Gonzalez missed a field goal in the red zone and Kizer’s interception, but once again the Browns offense fails to capitalize on given points.

Jackson said Jamie Collins ran during practice Friday, away from his teammates, but the Browns later clarified that he has not cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol. “We have to be smart about our expectations of him this weekend”.

On his touchdown celebration: “I was thinking about it all last night and. yeah, that’s what I did. For us as a team to go 97 yards when it counted showed a lot of determination”. I’ve been over there supporting and trying to tell them what I can about what I’ve seen and how to get off the line or what they’re doing to affect them or get them off their game.

The rookie looked solid in his National Football League debut for the Browns, even in the loss, as he recorded multiple sacks in the game after recovering from his injury to start the season.

Team executives meet after every season and ask, “What can we do to best align ourselves to continue to be community leaders and enhance the fan experience for our fans and partners?” Jordan Jenkins tackled Isaiah Crowell for no gain.

“That is the decision I made”, Jackson said. “We did that for the past few weeks, and we just wanted to build off those weeks into that game, and that’s exactly what we did”.

Veteran offseason signing Kenny Britt has been a major disappointment, and Jordan Leslie is on IR after tearing his hamstring. Sammie Coates, acquired via trade from Pittsburgh on September 2 and Kasen Williams, a waiver claim September 3 from Seattle, should get more targets Sunday. But at 21 and with only two seasons at Notre Dame under his belt, he still has a long way to go to be a quality starter in the NFL.
