Myles Jack admits the NFL Draft was ‘humiliating’

When it comes to his future with the Jaguars, Jack stated, “I’m 100% healthy”. It’s apparently not when picking in the top half of the first round.

Since the Jags figure to go defense, I think we can remove offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil and Ronnie Stanley from the equation.

Jack’s junior season was cut short after injuring his knee during a routine practice drill in September, ending his year just three weeks in.

After falling to the second round, Myles Jack was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 36th overall pick. Jack was passed up 31 times – the Patriots didn’t have a first-round pick – an astonishing free free fall had nothing to do with talent or character or college production.

The Giants could certainly use a linebacker, but their attentions may now be on Leonard Floyd, who they seem to like an terrible lot. He hit an impressive 40-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-4 inch broad jump at the UCLA pro day, and his explosiveness appeared to be back. They are clearly building the right way, and NFL Media’s Mike Mayock even said on the broadcast that they could be a playoff team this year. The Jaguars traded the 38th and 146th (fifth round) overall picks to Baltimore to grab Jack. Thankfully though, Jack is now a member of the Jaguars and seems ready to put the entire draft day ordeal behind him.

Jack admitted the microfracture procedure is a possibility when talking to The Post at an National Football League charity event Wednesday.

The Jaguars will also get their 2015 No. 1 pick Dante Fowler back from injury. Scouts were high on him even though he missed most of last season. On top of that, he took out million insurance policy, which looks like he might be collecting on, so really, he will be alright. Ngakoue is a functional player, but he’s a pass rush specialist and less of a complete, balanced player than guys like Shilique Calhoun or Jonathan Bullard, who were also available.

Both Myles Jack and Jaylon Smith were projected top five selections, and would easily have been were it not for possible career-threatening injuries.
