Myles Jack freefall ends at No. 36 to the Jaguars

Draftee Myles Jack of UCLA and his mother La Sonjia Fisher Jack arrive to the 2016 NFL Draft at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University on April 28, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois. Honestly, if you really paid attention to it, a lot of these reports would have you thinking the guy might never walk again. If he’s going to be worth the No. 32 pick-essentially a first rounder because the Patriots forfeited their selection, you’ve got to clear some basic hurdles entering draft day. Live coverage of the draft will also be available via the WatchESPN app. Doctors have said I’m fine.

As for Jack, he says he’d take it on the chin if that happens.

Nobody expected Jack to fall out of the first round, but then, nobody expected him to admit to potential follow-up surgery, either. Jack suffered a free-fall from a top-five hopeful to the second round because of all the injury scares and rumors with his knees. “I’m nowhere near that, so it’s nothing to talk about”.

The lack of contact might not be an accurate predictor of the Giants’ interest, however. Rapoport cites several sources who claim the cartilage and bone have “begun to separate” in the knee, “creating what is referred to by medical professionals as an osteochondral defect”. The Jaguars traded the 38th and 146th (fifth round) overall picks to Baltimore to grab Jack. The surgical procedure, he said, was unrelated.

“It’s not what everybody’s making it out to be”, he said. When they did the (meniscus) surgery, they said it was there before I got injured.

He even made sure we heard from the famed Dr. James Andrews today!

As I lay everything out above and from what I know of Dave Caldwell’s tendencies from the last few years, I think he’s probably going to pick a big pass rusher that projects as an 8-10 year pro. “It’s one of those things where I’m living with it”. During the National Football League event Wednesday, he ran around effortlessly with dozens of local youth participating.

Another NFL source told NJ Advance Media that Jack would not make it past the mid-teens.
