N’Golo Kante says farewell to Leicester

In the wake of N’Golo Kante’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, Antonio Conte is looking to offload Nemanja Matic at an usually low price.

Kante, who officially made his move away from the Premier League champions yesterday, signed a five-year deal with Chelsea after both clubs agreed a deal worth in excess of £32million.

‘The club’s project and the coach’s speech have convinced me to join this new ambitious adventure’.

“We identified him, me and the club together, and I think Kante can give a lot to Chelsea, to enforce a zone which is very important if we want to play with two central midfielders”.

Kante is the first big-name player to depart Leicester since their unexpected title triumph, with top goalscorer Jamie Vardy turning down the chance to join Arsenal and instead signing a new deal with Claudio Ranieri’s side.

However, the Guardian are reporting this morning that after discussions with Leicester, he is set to turn down the offer of a new contract that would see his weekly windfall increased to £80k.

France worldwide Kante, 25, became the manager’s second major buy this month, following the arrival of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, after the Blues paid a reported £32 million (S$56.9 million) for the defensive midfielder from English champions Leicester City.

“I talk every day with the club, it’s very important because we know what the team needs”. We lost but we can be proud. I want to thank the leaders, my team-mates and Claudio Ranieri for this fantastic season that saw us winning the title of England. “And I again thank you all”.

Of course it has to be appreciated according to the attack that struck in Nice in July 14 and I have at this point a honest thought for all the victims and their families.

Chelsea have already signed striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer but Conte was hoping to keep Costa as well, believing he could help the striker and Eden Hazard rediscover their best form after poor campaigns.
