N.J. newspapers want Christie to resign
Trump took Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia in the day’s contests, only days after Hewlett Packard Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman condemned his campaign and her former political colleague New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

C-SPANChris Christie dropped out of the presidential race weeks ago, but he still managed to be Super Tuesday’s biggest loser-thanks to Donald Trump. The Union Leader later retracted its endorsement of Christie, saying, “Boy were we wrong”, and attacking Christie on his support for Trump. On Monday, New Hampshire’s Union Leader and Massachusetts’s Boston Herald both expressed regret for having supported Christie’s failed presidential run.
Christie officially endorsed Trump after wrapping up his own campaign.
“I am the person with the most experience in government that is in his circle”, Christie said, “and so as a result, that gives me some credibility to make recommendations and suggestions over time where appropriate and for him to consider”.
What was Christie thinking while Trump spoke?
And it’s not just journalists who disapprove of Christie; a poll out Wednesday shows record-low approval ratings for the governor statewide.
Trump was heard on a microphone telling Christie to get on a plane and go home after Christie was pressed Sunday in an ABC interview about his policy disagreements with Trump on his proposed ban on Muslims.
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) Was that really Chris Christie, the brusque, take-a-back-seat-to-no-one governor of New Jersey?
“Rather than standing up to the bully, Christie bent his knee”, McQuaid wrote. “We’re fed up with his long neglect of the state to pursue his own selfish agenda”, the editorial reads.
Christie says he is backing Trump because he’s a victor and has the best chance of beating Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. We’re fed up with his hypocrisy.
It isn’t clear how much time Christie intends to dedicate to traveling with Trump, but he is required to have a state police security detail with him wherever he goes – a cost shouldered by New Jersey taxpayers. “I am confident he will be balancing out his role in the Trump campaign”.

The editorial calls for New Jersey residents to demand a recall election, where Christie would essentially be forced out by his constituents.
