AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Monday strongly condemned the ongoing massacre of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
All Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference and Jamat-e-Islami also supported his candidature.
AJK Assembly had also appointed PML-N’s Raja Farooq Haidar Khan as new Prime Minister while former president Sardar Yaqub Khan also administered oath to as many as nine members of AJK cabinet.
Masood Khan has thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his nomination and for reposing full confidence in him.
The prime minister appreciated the outgoing President of AJK for amicably conducting state’s affairs during his term in office. After his election Mr. Khan has said that Kashmir liberation movement will get momentum and he will work hard for this cause. He became President of the UN Security Council in January 2013.
Nawaz Sharif said that the continuity of electoral process has amply strengthened the democratic system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Masood was born in Rawalakot and studied there.
