Najib: M’sia-India keen to promote traditional medicine

The new deal will enable both the countries to reduce incidents of cyber crimes and will help strengthening cyber security by combining Indian and Malaysian resources.

It was a treat to watch the two PMs meeting warmly, as Modi stepped out of his vehicle at the Perdana square in Putrajaya, which is the administrative capital located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.

According to Mr Modi, the two nations agreed to upgrade their joint exercises and set up the SU-30 forum to strengthen collaboration in “training and defence equipment”.

The MoU was signed between Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) and Cyber Security Malaysia.

Modi, who held talks with Najib earlier in the day, inaugurated the gate at the Little India enclave in Brickfields here.

“To mark this milestone, the two Prime Ministers will unveil a commemorative joint stamp issue”, the statement said.

On ties with Japan, PM Modi said, “There are few partnerships that enjoy so much goodwill in India as our relations with Japan”. “We look forward to a more dynamic partnership between India and ASEAN”, the Prime Minister said. “We will continue to deepen security cooperation”. And, it will be a symbol of our timeless ties and the friendship between our people.

Speaking at a joint conference with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi after their bilateral talks here today, Najib said Modi was keen to expand traditional medicine in the field of Ayurveda.

Meanwhile, Modi noted that Malaysia and India enjoyed a comprehensive partnership and both countries shared similarities in many dimensions and diversity.
