The latest: A naked, none-too-flattering statue of real estate tycoon and presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared this morning at Jane Warner Plaza in the Castro; according to the Washington Post, similar statues appeared in public spaces in New York, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Seattle. They are of a stern-faced Trump with his hands folded over a bulging belly.

“It’s our hope that Donald Trump, our modern day emperor of Facism and Bigotry, is never installed in the most powerful political and military position in the world”.

Reached by phone, manager Tricia Fetters introduced the store as the “home of the naked Donald Trump”.

“It is through these sculptures that we leave behind the physical and metaphorical embodiment of the ghastly soul of one of America’s most infamous and reviled politicians”, the group said in a statement.

Because statues of Trump’s old saggy butt are across the land.

“NYC Parks stands firmly against any un-permitted erection in city parks, no matter how small”, said Parks Department spokesman Sam Biederman.

A video posted by DNA Info showed onlookers booing and groaning as workers snapped the statue off its base, leaving the feet behind, and loaded it face-down into the back of a pickup truck.

One of the Trump statues was placed in Union Square.

“That is a frightening thought”, de Blasio said. “He thinks he’s the greatest thing on earth and this is a very accurate depiction of who he really is”, said Curtis Jensen in San Francisco. “When he’s wearing clothes I don’t like him”.

Although Gilmore said he did not find the statue offensive, he admitted some might because children were “roaming around”.

“The final straw for me was when he made fun of the reporter that has the disability”, he said.

In protest of the leader they see as a potential authoritarian ruler, anarchist group INDECLINE has erected (pun intended) statue’s in Trump’s likeness.
