Naked man rams police cars, leads Waukesha officers on chase

Police say the driver of a truck intentionally smashed into two officers’ squad cars as they sat in a parking lot.

Officials say the man was driving a pickup truck speeding down W. Newhall Ave. around 7:45 p.m. when he plowed through the fence and rammed the squad cars.

The chase lasts almost three miles. During the initial pursuit, the driver lost control of the pickup, spinning the vehicle to face the wrong side of the road and collided with one of the squad cars again. He sped off once more but struck a barrier. As officers approached, the driver got out and walked away from the truck.

According to a Facebook post from the department, the officers quickly sprung into action and gave chase.

“Unbeknownst to them up to this point we realize we have a guy that’s walking completely naked”, Oremus told FOX6Now.

A police spokesman tells FOX6 News it’s fortunate the officers got to the man before he potentially hurt others in the community.

In addition to wearing no clothes, police said the man was high on LSD and is suspected of battery against his girlfriend in a domestic incident that happened before his run around town.

The police officers were not injured.
