Name and Shame? Obama points to Russian Federation on DNC email hacking
Many Americans were stunned when Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump urged Russian Federation to “find” – apparently in a hacking operation – Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails that could conceivably include classified information.

An online activist group is petitioning to keep Donald Trump out of security briefings after the Republican presidential candidate said he hopes Russian hackers get into rival candidate Hillary Clinton’s email.
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”, Trump told reporters. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press”.
Clinton, a Democrat who faces Trump in the November 8 USA presidential election, responded with a campaign statement alleging he was posing a possible national security threat by encouraging Russian espionage to try to influence the vote.
“That’s not hyperbole, those are just the facts”, Sullivan said in a statement.
The issue has flared up in recent days, in the wake of the hack of emails at the Democratic National Committee that the Obama administration said Wednesday was nearly certainly the work of Russian Federation. But I am deeply disturbed by the way that Debbie Wasserman Schultz was forced to resign as the DNC head.
While information about Trump’s debts has been made public in personal financial disclosures filed with federal election regulators, the Democratic donors say access to his taxes might shed light on previously unknown business arrangements.
Democratic Party leaders are calling on President Obama to declassify intelligence reports that “illuminate potential Russian motivations” for the WikiLeaks hack that has disrupted the Democratic National Convention.
Trump also protested what he called unfair media coverage and chided Clinton for not holding news conferences of her own.
Clinton’s campaign on Monday blamed Russian Federation for the hack. I know this is ancient history, but c’mon.
Trump is referring only to the emails deleted by Clinton’s legal team because they believed them to be not work-related.
“Through his financial documents, we are trying to break into the image that he’s portraying to the American people”, said Mana, a real estate developer in Miami.
Trump said Wednesday that he has no ties to Russian Federation whatsoever, but that hasn’t stopped Democratic donors in Philadelphia from saying that in the absence of Trump’s tax returns, voters are left to wonder whether there are undisclosed financial ties between Trump and foreign entities.
Besides, even without the audit, Trump can choose not to share his tax returns, and clearly doesn’t want to do so at all. Trump said in a Fox News interview broadcast on Thursday. Fortunately, FBI Director James Comey said in his Capitol Hill testimony that there is no evidence Clinton’s server was ever hacked by anyone.
Trump’s comments fed Democrats’ contentions that the billionaire businessman is unqualified to be commander in chief.
Trump has long insisted he can’t release his tax returns because they’re now under review, reiterating this position on Wednesday at a news conference in Florida.

In short, this appears to be a Russian intelligence operation created to damage Clinton.
A conspiracy-toned discussion of an alleged connection between Donald Trump and the Kremlin, Russia’s center of power, has quickly become mainstream.
“At the moment, I think the state is going to get a lot of attention and be a player”, Trump said.

Stephen Miller, senior policy adviser for Trump, battled back, saying in a statement: “It is alarming that Leon Panetta would, through his silence, excuse Hillary Clinton’s enablement of foreign espionage with her illegal email scheme and her corrupt decision to then destroy those emails and dissemble her “private” server to hide her crimes from the public and authorities”. “So let’s see”, he claimed.
