Names of Cherokee County murder victims released
UPDATE (8:16PM): The Major Crimes Unit is investigating a double homicide in Cherokee County. There were multiple shell casings at the scene.

Authorities obtained warrants against Jeffrey Wilcox Jr., 30, for capital murder and first-degree kidnapping in the case.
Wilcox is also accused of kidnapping his wife, Chasidy Wilcox, 30. Authorities have not identified the couple but say they were in their late 40s.
Cherokee County authorities were working with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Piedmont police, Jacksonville State University’s Center for Applied Forensics and other agencies, Shaver said Sunday, in search of Wilcox and his wife.
Wilcox drives a red 2011 Chevy Silverado with AL tag #11FR476.
Wilcox is considered armed and risky and SHOULD NOT BE APPROACHED.
He lives in the northern part of Calhoun County and is employed in Anniston, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
