Nancy Pelosi Receives ‘Obscene And Sick’ Calls After Contact Info Hack

Nancy Pelosi said that she was flying from Florida to California when her personal contact details were posted online.

The posted information appeared to have been gained in the electronic breach of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the fundraising and campaign arm of Democrats in the House of Representatives. He had claimed responsibility for the recent hack of Democratic National Committee emails, which roiled the Democratic National Convention last month.

The ongoing hacking and leaking of emails and other electronic records from Democratic Party organizations’ servers has operatives in both parties anxious that an “October surprise” or other effect of the cyber crimes could throw more curveballs into an already tumultuous presidential campaign season.

However, Guccifer has denied accusations that he or she is associated with the Russian state.

The Romanian hacker known as Guccifer 2.0 took credit for this leak on Friday. Obama, who noted that outside experts have blamed Russia for the leak, suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin may have reason to facilitate the attack.

The FBI, which is investigating, hasn’t publicly attributed the attack to Russian Federation.

The hacker, or group of hackers, going by the name “Guccifer 2.0” said the records were stolen as part of a breach of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“Upon landing, I have received scores of mostly obscene and sick calls, voicemails and text messages”, Pelosi said in her letter to colleagues. That led to DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s resignation, along with other top staffers.

But U.S. officials suspect the operation and others directed at the DNC and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign were more likely an attempt to pursue email chains into classified networks or in search of national security policy information than to influence the November 8 U.S. election.

Chief Information Security Officer of the House John Ramsey wrote in an email that the House computer system had not been compromised, but told staff to still be mindful when opening emails and websites.

So it turns out that the Democrats keep getting hacked, and judging by what Nancy Pelosi said on Saturday, this saga is taking an ugly turn.
