The ESPN FC panel discuss the reports that Manchester United’s Robin van Persie is off to Turkish side, Fenerbahce. Thousands of fans then turned out at the club’s Sukru Saracoglu stadium to welcome Nani and witness the signing of his three-year contract.

“I really am very happy to be here now”. I’ll try to do my best to make Fenerbahce fans happy. “It’s a great opportunity”.

“Of all the players I’ve played with during my career, if I wanted someone to beat someone 1 vs 1 and it was do or die he would have been one of my first picks for sure”, Ferdinand wrote. “I will give my best for every game”.

Back with his old club, he showed flashes of the potential witnessed when he first joined United, scoring four goals in five Champions League matches, per WhoScored.com.

Manchester United attacker Nani is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Sunday, with a move to Fenerbahce seemingly imminent.

“I haven’t had the chance to talk with Robin van Persie yet”. He had been told he was not part of United manager Louis van Gaal’s plans.

Van Persie’s agent, Kees Vos, has denied his client has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce. With the national team I play with Bruno Alves and Raul Meireles and it is very nice for me to come here and feel like I have family.

This was the welcome that Nani received on his arrival in Turkey as he gets set to sign for Fenerbahce.
