Anyone that follows Jacob Tremblay’s Instagram account knows the nine-year-old is about as down-to-earth and normal as a child star can get. That’s Mary, a widowed child psychologist who begins to suspect that she’s being haunted by Tremblay’s disturbed foster child who went missing under her care. She lost her husband in a freak vehicle accident that also left her son (played by Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton) in a vegetative state. However, after he races off into the wintry night and is presumed dead, Mary believes he has come back to haunt her.
The haunting episodes take place in Mary’s deserted New England home, where she tends to her stepson, who is in a permanent catatonic state following a auto accident. Is he really a ghost?
“Tom’s a dark character”.
