There was also a great thrust from the Opposition today to look into the aspect of alienation of Kashmiris.

Union home minister Rajnath Singh declared Wednesday that “no power on earth can take Kashmir from India”, squarely blaming Pakistan for “whatever is happening in Kashmir”.
“Two weeks ago, Nawaz Sharif said that he is waiting for Kashmir to be handed over to Pakistan, he even wrote to UN Secretary General regarding this. Earlier PMs would rush to the House if there was a pressing discussion on any issue, but this Prime Minister has not attended”, Azad said, according to The Indian Express.
Earlier, Azad associated himself with the views of BSP leader Satish Mishra on Dalit issue and took a jibe on the Prime Minister for making statement on the issue from Telangana and not in Parliament.
Singh also promised to consider sending an all-party delegation to Kashmir, responding to demands made in the Rajya Sabha which discussed the “prevailing situation” in the valley for over six hours.
He said that now Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has the chance to restore mutual trust with the people of Kashmir and move ahead on the path of dialogue.
In Modi’s speech in central India, he reached out to Kashmiris to maintain peace there but he did not invite separatist leaders for talks, as suggested by his party’s ally, the People’s Democratic Party, in the coalition that governs the Himalayan region. He said the Indian tricolour unites us, and inspires us to rewrite India’s destiny.
“This house expresses its concern over the disturbance, violence and curfew in the Kashmir Valley”.
On the same day, tens of thousands of troops patrolled streets ringed with barbed wire and enforced a curfew in most parts of Kashmir.
Sharad Yadav of JD (U) said that Kashmiris should be taken along through dialogue.
Blinding innocent kids and injuring thousands of youth, proves that Modi’ inner beast of 2002 Gujarat is still thriving in him even as Prime Minister of India, Gilani said. “The region has 55 percent of population in the state”.
TMC MP Derek O’ Brien said, “We need to go beyond the home ministry statistics”. Some seven lakh educated youth are employed. “I want to appeal to people to stop those indulging in such things”, Singh said. “There is a difference between nationalism and separatism”, he said. At the same time, he praised the state government for conducting the Amarnath yatra and spoke of the progress of solar projects in Ladakh.
Besides, 2 Calling Attentions in Lok Sabha and 5 Calling Attentions in Rajya Sabha were discussed.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday broke the silence over Indian held Kashmir issue and called for an end to violence promising jobs for young people in his first comments since deadly clashes began over a month ago. It added that the House “conveys its deep sense of anguish and concern over the loss of lives and critical injuries caused by the deteriorating situation”.

“I think these incidents, the recent attack in Quetta, they only demonstrate that you can not have a selective approach towards terrorism as we have been saying time and again that there are no good terrorists and bad terrorists”.
