‘Narnia’ Film Series to Be Rebooted With ‘The Silver Chair’ Spinoff Online
“All original. All original characters, different directors, and an entire new team that this is coming from”.

The reporter clarified in the interview that when Gordon says “original characters”, he doesn’t mean they’ve created them from scratch. Written by Lewis between 1949 and 1954, the series revolves around the adventures of four siblings in the magical world of Narnia, guided by the wise, talking lion, Aslan, who is voiced by Liam Neeson in the films, and Tilda Swinton plays the White Witch antagonist.
Previous reports of a Silver Chair movie began circulating in 2014 following claims that the script was finished – claims which were later denied by the official Chronicles Of Narnia Facebook page – and since then it’s all been a bit quiet on the Narnia front. When you look at what exactly that entails though, it’s obvious that the term is being used more as a marketing gimmick for a “new look” franchise and less for actually adhering to the real definition. The producer explained The Silver Chair, instead of being a sequel, will be a complete reboot, which leaves no scope for any of the original cast members.
How did we arrive at this point?
Honestly being a reboot makes sense as the franchise rights have switched hands since the last movie from The Walden Group and back to The C.S. Lewis Company along with The Mark Gordon Company. Between them, the three films have grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide.
That being said, there’s no denying the potential for a lucrative family-friendly alternative to the superheroes and space battles that dominate the modern franchise landscape. However, it sounds like Gordon wants to forget about all three of the previous film adaptations.

Going by Gordon’s remarks, it appears the movie will introduce a new voice for Aslan, the great lion.
