NASCAR driver excited about aerodynamic package at MIS

And that’s being kind.

NASCAR was able to see how the packages differ at the same track by experimenting with the more reduced downforce at the All-Star Race and the current 2016 rules the following week in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte.

NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Brad Keselowski isn’t happy about his retired competitor’s on-air portrayal of yesterday’s pit stop snafu at Pocono, reports Racer. “The team guys can probably give you a better answer, but we fought back really well”.

Reason: “Biffle has four career wins at the track, which is the most among active drivers”. Race distance: 250.5 miles, 167 laps Last year: Matt Crafton emerged from the front row and beat Daniel Suarez for his third win in seven races. “I don’t think there was any performance advantage for us”. Accordingly, NASCAR scrapped the concept and concentrated its efforts on the rules package drivers sought: low downforce that makes the cars hard to control and showcases their ability.

Motor Racing Network – “The Voice of NASCAR” – will have live coverage of Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400, beginning at 12 p.m. (ET) – with live streaming at MRN.com and on the MRN App.

“[This package] has a tremendous potential to be the future direction for our sport”, said Team Penske driver Brad Keselowski. It’s just going to be really exciting racing.

Just as NASCAR deserves credit for acknowledging its mistake in the immediate aftermath of last August’s race, it is also worthy of praise for its continued efforts to take away downforce even as teams work to undermine its initiatives.

This aerodynamic package has the goal to reduce down- and side-force, according to a NASCAR press release.

He is enjoying his racing more than ever, he said. The continued development of the rules package has been an industry-wide collaboration to further enhance the racing.

What I find really encouraging is that walking through that garage area, I have yet to hear a single complaint from a driver, crew chief or engineer. That deceleration should create greater passing opportunities. Carl Edwards (201.218 mph), Dale Earnhardt Jr.

“I think you are going to see a good race”, the driver of the No. 3 Dow Salutes Veterans Chevrolet said. “It’s like Christmas for me”. “It would dramatically change everything if we won at MI on Sunday”. But the down side to all of this tweaking throughout the season has been a lot of penalties handed down, to the point NASCAR is suspected of going “nuts”. “This is going to be a blast”. Don’t get me wrong, this year has been a lot better, but I just think what we will see at MI and Kentucky will make the racing even greater.

And if the revamped rules package doesn’t produce the desired outcome on Sunday, there is solace in knowing it’s near impossible to be worse than what transpired 10 months ago.
