NASCAR driver goes airborne in fiery crash at Coke Zero 400

Two people hit by debris during the last-lap crash at the Coke Zero 400 have hired an attorney to represent them in any claims against NASCAR and Daytona global Speedway.
Daytona worldwide Speedway President Joie Chitwood said 13 fans were assessed after the wreck. Eight refused treatment, four were treated at the infield care center; and one was taken to Halifax Health in stable condition and treated and released later Monday morning. We’re going to learn from it and see what else we can do to be better.

Earnhardt then alternated between pulling away and blocking Johnson to earn his second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory of the season.

NASCAR prides itself on all the improvements they’ve made. “That’s the end of it”, said Mr. Newman, in an interview with US TODAY. “Obviously, we don’t want cars getting in the air. They just don’t listen”.
