NASCAR Homestead 2015: Championship preview and prediction
Did you know: The season title will be decided by finishing order among Gordon, Harvick, Busch and Truex…. Except this “law firm” can outperform any its competitors, not in the courtroom but at high speeds.

Jo Koster, a college professor who has been following Gordon since he raced sprint cars in the late 1980s, is one of the people who doesn’t know what she’ll do.
While the majority of fans will focus on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, it should also be pointed out that the Xfinity Series will also be trying to crown a champion this weekend. The highest finisher among the four will be crowned champion. “I got ahead of him and he just drove in the side of me”, Gordon said after the Richmond incident. Harvick won at Homestead last year to get the title and now he will try and do it again this year.
Busch missed the first eleven races of the season due to injury, so the fact that he’s even in the running for the title is nothing short of fantastic.
And he’ll have to beat sentimental favorite Martin Truex Jr., who spent previous year battling career woes and his girlfriend’s ongoing bout with cancer.
Harvick is a great driver: See how he drove with one hand in Texas at 180 miles per hour because his shifter kept going out of gear and still rolled to the finish line in third place. Truex, who can’t finish lower than fourth in the final standings, has never finished in the top 10. Truex has one victory this season. And with that in mind here is an overview look at the four title contenders.
“Is there pressure? I mean, I feel like there’s always pressure”. Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. won this race last season….
“He did a better job of hiding it than everybody else. How you handle that nervousness is really important”. Rodney Childers, Harvick’s crew chief, is the only one who has experienced final four stress.
Looking for a spoiler Sunday?
Then and now: Last Sunday marked the final race of the 24-race 2015 season. He stated Penske referred to as him after Logano spun Kenseth at Kansas, and Gibbs referred to as Penske after Kenseth wrecked Logano at Martinsville. However, winning a fifth title would be a little different.
Last year’s victor: Kevin Harvick. “So, I feel like as a whole, everybody can hopefully help me and give me everything I need to have the tools necessary to go into the race and perform to our best”.
Gordon has the best record at Homestead with a win and seven top-five finishes. I don’t think you could write a better story than to see him win the championship…
“But you saw the raw emotion of what that win meant to me”.
It shows just how hard it is to traverse the 10-race Chase where four drivers are eliminated after each of three rounds leading up to Homestead. I literally will be climbing the fences. I’m just sick and exhausted of it. We had the auto.
Event: Ford Ecoboost 300, (200 laps, 300 miles), Homestead-Miami Speedway. His victory in Round 3 of the Chase earned him a spot in Sunday’s championship race, setting up a fairytale scenario and giving the sport one more opportunity to honor one of its all-time greats.
The pre-race media festivities before the Sprint Cup Series season’s final race at Homestead have usually delivered at least a few sort of trash talk. Biffle won three in a row (2004-06).
Of course Hendrick is fully aware that Southwest Florida is no stranger to a NASCAR presence, since Bob Germain owns a Sprint Cup team with Carl Edwards as his driver.

Kenseth was suspended two races for intentionally wrecking Joey Logano in retaliation. After all, he drives for a single-car team, based out of Denver, Colorado as opposed to Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, and Kyle Busch, who all are associated with NASCAR super teams based in the hub of stock auto racing, North Carolina.
