NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Bristol delayed by weather

Make sure to lock in your final lineups, and don’t forget to check out the action under the lights Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN. “It crosses your eyes and makes them do all kinds of amusing things”, Earnhardt said.

That was the sentiment of many at Bristol. But Kyle Busch was at P1 when the rains came and moved the balance of the race back to 1 p.m. Sunday, on CNBC.

For the last 50 laps, the race looked like a classic faceoff between Busch and Keselowski, whom no one would consider friends. Something broke in the right rear of the auto.

“It was frustrating starting sixth on that last restart”, Stenhouse said.

“Hopefully, we’ll be sitting here tomorrow night at the end of this deal talking about how we did it in the race”, Edwards said. “That’s stupid”, said Kyle Busch, who wrecked on lap 373 after leading 258 laps.

“I don’t know”, Busch said. “The way that our vehicle was restarting it felt comfortable, it felt good”. “I tell you what, my butt’s kicked right now. I tried to make up for it and got loose”. I feel really bad for the Monster Energy guys.

To do that, the track must turn the infield into a football over a detailed, step-by-step, 19-day, step-by-step plan that’s already behind — the work was planned to start in Sunday’s early hours once the last NASCAR hauler had left the property.

Harvick, who had been consistently working his way through the field, then inherited the lead. Logano got a little bit of damage to the front of his auto but was able to continue racing. However, NASCAR has made changes since the April race and drivers will be facing a number of challenges to go with track conditions.

“We’ve had the performance that we’ve needed in the cars nearly every week and it’s been one of those deals where things didn’t go exactly right. I was driving the vehicle 101 percent when I should have been driving it 99”.

Harvick survived all the stupidty and calamity to score not only his second win of this season, but his second career win at Bristol. The remainder of the race was postponed until Sunday. “But to have the win now and just try to get that momentum before we get into the Chase and get things rolling is really what we needed”.

The past few years, Harvick said there was no use taking the low side of the high-banked, concrete track because cars were three-or-four tenths of a second slower.

As his victory celebration, Harvick did a synchronized burnout with his teammate, boss and friend Stewart on the front straightaway.

32 laps in here at BMS and we’re under CAUTION due to rain.

“That was cool”, Stewart said. “That’s what I did”.
