Truex Jr. was able to capitalise on an error from Kevin Harvick, who appeared certain for victory at the Darlington Raceway in SC.

Martin Truex Jr. may not have had the best race vehicle Sunday night and he didn’t lead many laps, but the ones he did were the most important ones as he captured the Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
But in large part thanks to repeated miscues by Harvick’s pit crew that kept bringing the field back to him, it seemed to get pretty interesting by the end before Truex claimed his second win of the season and the first of his career at Darlington in one of NASCAR’s most presitigious races. She began things by winning at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend.
Harvick could not overcome his shoddy pit showing and was frustrated with his team.
