ET caught up with Britton at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, where she praised Nashville fans for keeping the show alive.

Christmas is going to be coming be bit late for Nashville’s loyal followers as the country music drama – which moves to CMT after four seasons on ABC – will begin its run on CMT a bit later than expected. Long-time SVOD partner Hulu will continue to bring fans new episodes of “Nashville” by making them available to stream the day after they air on CMT at http://www.hulu.com/nashville. Additionally, the Viacom-owned country cabler also announced a pilot order for another scripted series, “His Wives & Daughters”.
CMT has ordered a new scripted pilot, His Wives & Daughters, as part of its scripted lineup that will feature the January 5 season five debut of Nashville and the March premiere of freshman drama Million Dollar Quartet, said network officials.
“After a promising start with “Still The King, ‘ we now have a clear path in attracting new audiences with our scripted programming”, Jayson Dinsmore, CMT’s head of development, said in a statement”. “Beginning with Nashville in January, each series [Nashville, the new show Million Dollar Quartet and Still the King] will help launch the next, creating an overlay to cycle viewers through our originals year round”.
“Million Dollar Quartet” will premiere in March 2017. The eight-part series centers on the birth of rock “n” roll as told through the eyes of Memphis musicians like Sam Phillips (played by Chad Michael Murray), Elvis Presley (Drake Milligan), Johnny Cash (Kevin Fonteyne) and Jerry Lee Lewis (Christian Lees), among others.

Still the King, which stars Billy Ray Cyrus and Joey Lauren Adams, will return for Season 2 in the spring. The pilot is created and produced by Dina Chapman and Steve Sessions, with Dinsmore and Silverton executive producers.
