Natalie Dormer ‘Can’t Argue’ With Comparisons To Kermit’s Girlfriend
“Margaery is trying to be Cersei, she’s trying to be the mother of the king …” But it got really interesting last season and they’ve got new problems.

She also said, to much wild speculation, that the producers had held a discussion on whether Margaery would have to do her own version of Cersei’s Walk in Season 6. But what might have made it most obvious was his very intricate theory about how the books and show are going to end, citing “a huge battle between ice and fire, where they destroy themselves-and they’ve got to dissolve the Iron Throne because they have to, to beat the White Walkers, and out of the ashes will come the tree people and the only ones left standing will be like, Bran, Brienne, Hodor, Tyrion…”
In a wonderful display of restraint, Dormer laughed it off and gave the audience member a lengthy response, telling a story about how she once asked showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss to rewrite a scene in which Margaery tells a story about being teased for having a “ski slope nose”.
During a “Game of Thrones” panel at New York Comic Con Thursday afternoon, a fan asked the actress how she felt about being compared to the muppet character. And Cersei knows that.
The actress also believes that Margaery has no interest in ascending to the Iron Throne, especially after seeing what that quest for power has done to her previous husbands. “It’s like the Cold War [between them], mutually assured destruction”. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend, maybe?” He understood completely just what the true goal of being an adviser to the Throne is, especially in the event you have someone in power like a Tommen, who really is not old enough to make informed decisions for himself.
According to Variety, Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) and Keisha Castle-Hughes (Obara Sand) were on stage at the East Coast convention to discuss the upcoming sixth season.
Dormer didn’t stop there.

NYCC hosted a Game of Thrones panel and although I thought most of the moderator’s questions tended to be on the silly side we were able to experience a few nice moments and learn a little about how the actors see the show. “[Loras] should definitely be anxious”, Jones said. Jones was asked if he was concerned about his character’s fate in Game of Thrones season 6.
