Natalie Portman thinks she’s done with Marvel
However, comments made by Portman in an interview with the Wall Street Journal suggest that the Jane Foster character is unlikely to make a return further down the line.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had said in an interview with the Empire Film Podcast in May that Portman would not reprise her role of Jane Foster in Thor: Ragnarok – due out in November of 2017 – for “many reasons”.
Actress Natalie Portman has ruled herself out of next “Thor” films. “I mean, I don’t know if one day they’ll ask for an ‘Avengers 7, ‘ or whatever – I have no idea”. Stellan Skarsgard’s character, Doctor Selvig, has been present in for all the Thor movies and even two Avengers movies, so it may be likely that he appears in “Ragnarok”.
We already knew that Portman wouldn’t be returning for next year’s Thor: Ragnarok, as her duties as love interest will seemingly be fulfilled by newcomer Tessa Thompson.
Thor: Ragnarok is now in production for a November 3, 2017 theatrical release. Samuel Jackson and Chris Pratt are also rumoured to be starring.

“It was a really incredible experience getting to play Jackie, and the film, which I’m really proud of, is going to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and then the Toronto Film Festival”, she smiled. A Tale of Love and Darkness also stars Natalie, with the project giving the Israel-born star a taste for filmmaking.
