Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had said in an interview with the Empire Film Podcast in May that Portman would not reprise her role of Jane Foster in Thor: Ragnarok – due out in November of 2017 – for “many reasons”.
Actress Natalie Portman has ruled herself out of next “Thor” films. “I mean, I don’t know if one day they’ll ask for an ‘Avengers 7, ‘ or whatever – I have no idea”. We already knew that Portman wouldn’t be returning for next year’s Thor: Ragnarok, as her duties as love interest will seemingly be fulfilled by newcomer Tessa Thompson.
Thor: Ragnarok is now in production for a November 3, 2017 theatrical release. Samuel Jackson and Chris Pratt are also rumoured to be starring.
